Roman Theater

Theater of the 1st century AD. Its present appearance is conditioned by the numerous interventions of restoration and rehabilitation to which its structure has been subjected. The one at the beginning of the nineties, has given it its current image. It was declared a National Monument in 1896. 💡Curiosities Although its planning is from the time of Augustus, its completion would date from that of Tiberius. Some studies of the archaeological remains allow to establish a first phase of construction around the year 50, and a second in the middle of the third century, a phase during which the building would have been remodeled. 🗺 How to get there? From the Sagunto Town Hall you can reach the Roman Theater in 6 minutes walking. 📍Surroundings It is located just 1 minute away from the Sagunto Castle.
