This monument (2nd century A.D.) is mostly buried, only the southern gate being visible. It is the only remains, today visible, of what was the Roman circus of Sagunto. Its process of destruction was exacerbated in the sixties of our century to build on it the blocks of buildings that exist today. 💡 Curiosities Because there is certainty that the circus is still preserved under those buildings is why we collect the protection that the General Plan of Sagunto made on the area, under which the circus is supposed to be. 🗺 How to get there? From the Town Hall you can reach the remains of the Roman Circus Gate in 5 minutes walking. 📍Surroundings It is located just 7 minutes from the Castle of Sagunto.
